Methamphetamine contamination - validation of screening test methodology

The use and illicit manufacture of methamphetamine has a major impact on people and communities in New Zealand. Negative outcomes of the use and manufacture of methamphetamine include the resulting contamination of properties and third-hand exposure to occupants. Property owners then need to spend significant amounts of money to test and decontaminate or rebuild properties.

At ESR, we can independently test products and devices that are used in the methamphetamine remediation using New Zealand Standard 8510:2017 as a means for validation and assessment (Appendix B, https://www.standards.govt.nz/assets/Publication-files/NZS8510-2017.pdf (external link) ). We are accredited to NZS ISO/IEC.

Below is a report on the screeing technologies assesed by ESR.
