Maxie has a Medical Laboratory Scientist Degree, a Quality Assurance Certificate, and a PRINCE2 Project Management certificate.

About

As Quality Director, Maxie provides leadership, support and guidance in the areas of regulatory affairs management, quality management, compliance, biosecurity and programme management (including oversight to projects and initiatives undertaken across ESR), for the Health & Environment Business Group (H&E-BG). In addition, she also provides leadership, and guidance across the H&E-BG with regard to Health, Safety & Wellbeing, including delivery against corporate strategy and ensuring organisational compliance. Her other responsibilities include: -The CIMS Business Continuity Plan Lead for the Environment Business Group. -Transitional Facility Operator for Christchurch and Wellington ESR Sites. Maxie's role also includes establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are met, identifying and addressed, risks are identified and managed, and that continuous improvement opportunities are deployed. She also works on the development and implementation of compliance management systems, which includes developing policies and procedures, auditing tools to assess compliance with requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement. Maxie is passionate about bringing people and resources together creating highly effective teams capable of delivering exceptional outcomes to the highest standard. She focuses on encouraging collaboration and involvement, drive continual improvement. She sees issues as opportunities for improvement and takes great pride in seeing people develop and excel at becoming the best versions of themselves.
