Jiawei Zhao is ESR’s machine learning engineer with a doctoral degree in computer science, specializing in natural language processing, computer vision and speech recognition. His research interests centre around advancing the capabilities of these domains, pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence. Jiawei has dedicated his efforts to unravelling the complexities of machine translation and speech translation. His research focuses on enhancing the accuracy, fluency, and naturalness of machine-translated text, aiming to bridge language barriers and facilitate seamless communication across diverse cultures.
