Nicotine-, tobacco particulate matter- and methamphetamine-produced locomotor sensitisation in rats

Abstract

Repeated nicotine exposure produces a weak and transient sensitised locomotor response in rats. Since tobacco smoke contains thousands of non-nicotine chemical constituents, these could alter the sensitised response.
