Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) surveillance (Dashboard)

ESR's multi-disciplinary team of scientists work together to monitor the epidemiology of sexually transmitted infections (STI) and examine recent trends.

Intelligence reports and dashboards include information on the burden of syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea in New Zealand. The dashboards below are best viewed in a Chrome browser.

STI surveillance and intelligence reporting

ESR maintains a number of surveillance systems to provide a comprehensive understanding of STIs in New Zealand. This information helps the Ministry of Health, the District Health Boards, and the wider health sector to plan services and respond to issues. Surveillance activities are funded by the Ministry of Health(external link)
