Details
The staphylococcal enterotoxins are recognised agents of staphylococcal food poisoning and may be involved in other types of infection with sequelae of shock in humans and animals. Several major antigenic types of staphylococcal enterotoxins have been recognised. This test identifies by PCR the presence of the genes for staphylococcal enterotoxins A, B, C, D and E.
