This week marks 100 days to go until the start of the world’s pre-eminent conference on Campylobacter, Helicobacter and related organisms which is being hosted by ESR in Rotorua.
Around 400 delegates are expected to attend CHRO 2015 including academics, physicians, veterinarians, entrepreneurs and policy makers from a wide variety of organisations, and from around the globe.
ESR Chief Scientist and conference convenor Dr Stephen On says he couldn’t be happier with the way the content of the conference is shaping up.
“We have received hundreds of submissions from all over the world and they are of a very high standard indeed. There are some very clear themes forming and the conference promises to be strong in control and management, molecular epidemiology, genomics and diagnostics.
“I’m also delighted with the quality of our plenary speakers all of whom are internationally renowned scientists in their areas,” Dr On says.
There are additional features which Dr On says will help make this CHRO one of the best yet.
“I’m confident that both the location and the line-up will mean those attending are in for a real treat.
“We’ve worked a great overlap day in with the concurrent NZ Microbiological Society conference workshops and have included workshops on source attribution and control strategies for the 21st century
“We’ve also extended the early bird registration and opened abstracts for late breaking research papers just to make sure the conference will be as up-to-date as possible,” Dr On says.
