Dr Jeff Foote is a Senior Systems Scientist, and holds qualifications in operations research, management systems and public health. His interests lie in using systems thinking approaches to support community and tangata whenua participation in decision-making and planning processes.
More recently Jeff has started to apply systems approaches to policy and programme evaluation issues. Jeff is the principal investigator of “Te Riu o Hokianga: Environmental Health Through Māori Community Development”, a Health Research Council participatory action research project with Hauora Hokianga, Hokainga hapū and iwi.
Jeff also leads an FRST funded objective within the Ecological Footprint Plus programme (led by AgResearch) trialling a novel approach to working with primary industries to generate innovative solutions to sustainability issues.
