SurvINZ is a technology platform that allows organisations that monitor diseases and pests to access secure web based real time information integrated from a number of different sources (questionnaires, field observations, laboratory tests, sampling). How are applications developed on SurvINZ different to other applications?
Applications developed and hosted on SurvINZ provide software tools for scientific and technical staff to monitor the incidence of diseases and pests. These software tools allow staff to extract, tabulate, list, graph, summarise and map data easily and quickly. The temporal and spatial analysis of data is a particularly important component of surveillance systems and is a strong feature in the applications developed and hosted on SurvINZ.
How can an application developed by ESR and hosted on SurvINZ talk to a client's existing internal information systems e.g. CRM system?
SurvINZ includes message brokering software that can be configured to move data from an application hosted on SurvINZ to an external application and vice versa.
What data security and standards does SurvINZ use?
As a Crown Research Institute, ESR is bound by obligations and protocols to adhere to government-wide standards and procedures in the handling of sensitive health and confidential data. The SurvINZ platform and all related projects observe and adhere to all requisite security and confidentiality protocols.
