Training and skill development

ESR’s Human Biosecurity programme provides training and development of personnel to enhance New Zealand’s ability to investigate and respond to infectious disease events.

Training and skill development includes:

• Developing formal training for PhD, Post-doc, secondments, summer student internships
• Specialist training workshops and educational seminars
• Shared use of high tech equipment and facilities
• Technology transfer – access to unique skills and capabilities in each agency and partners/collaborators
• Surge capacity
• Annual symposia
