ESR Science Leader Joanne Hewitt has been selected as a finalist in the Wellingtonian of the Year Awards (The Wellys) in the Science and Technology category.
The Wellingtonian of the Year Awards say of her selection: “Joanne Hewitt is a Science Leader at ESR who led research and development into the detection, persistence, viability, survival of enteric viruses, including noroviruses, SARS-CoV-2 in the environment, water and foods.”
Every year for the past 35 years The Post (previously The Dominion Post and Evening Post) has applauded Wellingtonians who go above and beyond in their different fields.
